NANCi Showcases at Indigenous Knowledge Publication Launch (ILK)

At NANCi, we believe that celebrating Namibia’s natural heritage means recognising the knowledge, resources, and innovation that make our local industries unique. On 9 July 2026, we were proud to participate in the launch of the National Outlook on Indigenous and Local Knowledge (ILK) of Biodiversity, hosted by UNESCO Windhoek and its partners at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre in Windhoek.

The event highlighted the vital role of Indigenous and local knowledge in biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, sustainable natural resource management, and the preservation of Namibia’s cultural heritage.

As part of the public exhibition, we showcased our members’ products, highlighting the value and potential of Namibia’s indigenous plant-based cosmetics and natural products. This provided us with an opportunity to engage with stakeholders and members of the public while raising awareness of the importance of sustainably and responsibly utilising Namibia’s natural resources.

Our participation reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting Beauty, Health & Wellness and creating platforms that increase the visibility of Namibian natural products. By showcasing our members’ products collectively, we strengthen our Network’s presence while creating opportunities for individual businesses to connect with potential customers, explore new markets, and grow their brands.

We extend our sincere appreciation to UNESCO and its partners for creating a platform that recognises the importance of Indigenous knowledge and community-led initiatives.
